Check out this great resource for basses. Cleaning, playing, scales, everything at your fingertips. Fantastic.

Elmeaux,

Thanks for sharing. I had the book checked out from the library but never got a chance to read it before I had to return it. Got this bookmarked so can now read it at my leisure. I checked out the Complete Idiot's Guide to Playing Bass Guitar yesterday so will have to get throught that first. A lot of it looks pretty basic but there are a few chapters that look good.

Elmeaux:

What a great find...
When I purchased my first bass, the salesman, a bass studio musician, recommended
the book, "Bass Guitar for Dummies", by Patrick Pfeiffer. 18 months later, it is still a go-to reference on everything from changing strings, to two octave scales, intervals, arpeggios, scale modes and hard core bass grooves. This puppy should be in your music library.

I've had that book for about four yrs and it's still one of my reference books to this day. I think it's cool we're all somewhat on the same level somewhat : )))
