Sorry about that, Elmeaux. Next time you make it down to Canada's Lower 48, check it out!

I've played through a friend's B15, not the new reissues but an old one (which has since gone to amp heaven.) It had a warm, smooth, round sound ... very ***y.

Now I keep my VT Bass pedal on the B15 emulation setting. Cops the B15 sound very well. Warm, smooth, round ... very ***y. Too ***y for church music. But heck, we're sinners not saints.

edit: LOL at the auto-censorship! S . e. x. y. So there.

Mine cost $200 in '68. And I'd love to have played it for the article ... but ...

I guess the old pejorative of a heavy bass or amplifier being a "boat anchor" had a literal meaning, then?
My condolences....
