In a stunning 8 - 4 upset, the Spector ReBop bass has booted
the G&L Anniversary bass off the top of the mountain
and claimed the crown as prize!

Considered to be the underdog going into the contest,
the swirly black cherry finish of the ReBop turned the eye of many
TR members, and ended up being the
deciding factor in the ReBop's victory.

But now we have a big-bodied contender in the wings who's just itching to
strike at the champ while it's still recovering from the fight.

With its classic style and a knife-like headstock that looks like it
could easily slice up a softball...this warrior
is just gunning for a stab at the title.

Thunder Row is proud to present...

The Spector ReBop bass versus the Peavey Zodiac DE Scorpio bass.

I'm a sucker for that small body and swirly finish. Challenger just isn't up to it. :(

I love the cool styling of the shaped headstock and P-J style pick ups!

The reigning champ better not get too comfortable. That Peavey bass is no tomato can.

Got to stick with the Spector on this one, she's purty :D

The Peavey doesn't hide it's Fender influences: the '51 P-style pickguard, the reversed Tele control plate and knobs, the retro bridge and P/J pickups. Sure it's a modern adaptation, but just not unique enough to top the Spector's s.e.x.iness.

Edit: what's with the auto-censorship controls??? Trying to keep this place safe for pre-teens???

LOL...the text police conditions were ramped up when we were dealing with our foul-mouth spamming deluge.

The reason it's there is so that if any of their spam gets through to the board instead of being held up in the penalty box, it won't flood our members' senses with every manner of F bomb and other unpleasantness.

The Scorpio bass has a little scorpion on the headstock. I think that's pretty cool.

oooh, didn't see that. Like a tattoo on the back of the neck ... kinda s.e.x.y.

But it's still no Rebop. Hey, wasn't there a Cyndi Lauper song about the Rebop? "I bop, you bop, they bop, we bop, he bop and Rebop ..."
:p

It's all in the details. Swirly finishes...scorpions...tomato cans...plates and knobs...

Send me a private message asking for your bass. We don't want to do it out in the open because it's supposed to be a surprise. Sshhhh...

Oh I like this Peavey, but it just ain't as purdy as the Spector. I have a Peavey (although a low end model - no pun intended) with the same headstock. Different and cool. Still and all, the Spector gets my vote this week.
