Okay, here's the deal.
The very first poster in Skin DEEP II - Round Nine was Greg Jewell, who said
he was giving his nod to the Spector ReBop. However, the second comment
was mine, in which I reminded Greg that - even though he had stated
his preference - he had not placed an actual vote.
On that basis, I cast my tie-breaking vote for the Spector ReBop, the bass
for which Greg Jewell stated his preference.
So let us congratulate Lola, our beautiful (albeit filthy, dirty, plastic, Guitar Center
Special, Cyndi Lauper inspired) Spector ReBop for once again retaining the crown
with her 7-6 final score!!
She deserves it, don't she?
But I think this old gal has her hands full with this week's contender.
Slinking into the ring from the Conklin Custom Shop is the exquisite
Crossover hollowbody bass.
Made of Dragonwood, this unlined fretless work of art has satin-chrome hardware,
volume, blend, and tone knobs, a split pickup, and a ReBop challenging finish called
"Cellophane Black Cherry Burst Satin." Woof!
Thunder Row is proud to present...
In the black cherry corner, the precariously perched but still reigning champ,
the Spector ReBop bass.
And in...er...the OTHER black cherry corner, the new challenger,
the Conklin Crossover hollowbody bass.

In the world of black cherry versus black cherry, can the ReBop
maintain her clawing grip on the crown?
Or will the Conklin "El-Kabong" her over the head and earn the
right to perch smugly atop the hill of victory?
You Decide!!
