In a dangerously close 8-7 victory over the 59 Jazz Bass Relic,
the champ Ibanez SR 5006E Prestige bass was able to hold on to her crown
by the skin of her sharp teeth.
Not that she ain't deserving, and all...
While the Jazz Relic creaks back to her rocking chair for a well-earned nap,
we are going to continue the contest to see if the Ibanez has what it takes
to retain championship status against a new competitor.
She's a handmade beauty from the Michael Tobias Gallery of American-made basses.
The MTD635-24 features a maple burl on poplar body, wenge neck/fingerboard,
and a dark cherry finish (not BLACK cherry this time). And with her 24 unmarked
frets, you'd better make sure you know your fretboard if you're gonna pick up
this 6-string beauty!
Thunder Row is proud to present your contenders for this week's Skin DEEP crown!!
In the brown corner, the champion Ibanez SR 5006E Prestige bass.
And thundering into the challenger's corner, the Michael Tobias MTD 635-24.

Will the Ibanez keep her crown again this week, or will the tasty
Tobias snatch it away and make a break for the top of the mountain?
