Ah finally, I asked for some Chateau Groove wallpapers a looong time ago.

Tnx, and if you could provide some more sizes (like 2560x1600 or 1280x1024 or 1560x1440) it would be even better :D

note :
- 2560x1600 = 16:10 widescreen
- 1280x1024 = 5:4 (standard)
- 1560x1440= 16:9 widescreen

I was thinking about sending "sir" Ralph to go take some more pictures, but then I realized he has no hands (or arms) to hold the camera :D

@slejhamer

889x596 is the resolution used by the camera that made that picture.

I don't know the type or brand of the camera, but pictures made with my Pentax K100D Super have similar dimensions (the aspect ration is not the same as most monitors support).

The only difference is that my images (I shoot RAW) are a LOT bigger, so I can easily crop the image into a 16:9 16:10 or 5:4 format that is large enough to use as a wallpaper. (Have one of my J-bass at the moment).

Sounds more like a processing/software issue that slightly cropped a 3:2 format image.

Anyway, it's a very cool pic.

Okay...I just looked at it - I never realised it came out that small.

It wasn't supposed to come out that way. Apparently, the real size exceeded what's allowed by this program.

It's actually 1471 x 986.

Email me at elmeaux@thelearningdock.com or drop me a PM, and I'll send you the full sized image.

I could not get it to send until I popped on the .com at the tail of the addy.
Thanks,
Richard

For those who would like the wallpaper to be the correct size for their resolution I made 3 versions of this wallpaper (normal, and 16:9 and 16:10 widescreen).

I also ran them through some photo software and did a little tweaking on the curves, this should make the colors more vibrant.

These images are now available through MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/?n2nx6q8qqwq89)

The images are :
1024x768 (standard)
1440x900 (widescreen)
1366x768 (widescreen)

there is also a "curves" modified version of all these, and they can be recognized by the C in their names (like Chateau Groove-1024x768c.jpg)

And for the peeps who want them all, there is a ZIP file with all these versions so you can just download the ZIP and extract it wherever you like on your computer.

unfortunatly most resolutions are higher than 1024x768 but if I make larger versions there will be a serious loss of quality, you can see this quality loss if you set it as your windows wallpaper (centered) and have windows Stretch it to fit your screen you'll see the loss in quality.

For those with a larger resolution I now have a 2560x1716 version here (http://www.mediafire.com/?n2nx6q8qqwq89)
This is a 1:1 enlargement of the original version so no 5:4 16:9 16:10 versions (maybe later)

It is the "large" one and you must download it to get the correct size (if you view you get a smaller image)

For those with a larger resolution

Thanks again, Patrick!!! You should open the concession...

...and now on sale in the TMBG gift store, Château Groove bed sheets with matching pillowcases and shams...

...and over here...the Château Groove gazebo cover...measuring 40 feet by 40 feet...

...Château Groove parachute silk will be available sometime next month...

...along with the OFFICIAL Château Groove World Series infield tarpaulin...

Great work, slejhamer! Glad to see you caught one of the gnomes in action (they don't come out often). Ralph feels a bit slighted, (his agent says he's not prominent enought) but I told him no one's a star ALL the time!
Well done!
Ed.

Ralph feels a bit slighted, (his agent says he's not prominent enough)

He should be happy...his image is higher than Roy's name...

the sharp observer would notice there is also a version of the wallpaper with "huge" in it's name (I uploaded it together with the "large" one.
This "Huge" wallpaper is 5000x3352 so that should be large enough for about 99.9% of the people on these forums (and for that 0.1% well let's say that Ralph needs to to take his own picture if he wants an even larger one :p)

I saw it...is it too big to use as wallpaper on a small monitor...won't it take forever to load?

Patrick
06-10-2011, 02:26 PM
that's why most people provide wallpapers in various sizes so if you have a 800x600 resolution you don't need to load a 1280x1024 wallpaper and scale it down to 800x600 (it's also advised to not use a wallpaper if you run programs that require a lot of CPU power because loading and refreshing the wallpaper will take away CPU power for the other program which might be unwanted).

Also, as you see when you view the picture in full-size it's not as "good" as the normal sized file due to the resizing (you cannot upscale forever).

Well,
I have the wall paper on my monitor now, and LOVE it !!!

Thanks for the refreshing of my old wall paper.

Now I just want some interior shots of both the Château Groove and that coffee place where Ashley does here introductions as recaps.
