Welcome to Skin DEEP - SHOWDOWN
This is a variation on our weekly game.
We all saw the results of the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medal Rounds.
This is going to be a mix-and match, where we select basses
(winners and losers) from among our collection, and pit them head to head
against DIFFERENT competitors from the ones they originally faced.
Let's see how our fave and least fave basses fare against new competitors!
In the words of Roger Waters,
we're going to find out where you fans really stand!
SHOWDOWN 1:
The Ibanez Attack Bass vs The Dingwall Afterburner Bass
985 984
- click to embiggen -
Though the Afterburner earned enough points to be featured in the
coveted Gold Medal Round, not a single person voted for her
in the final race to the podium.
The Attack Bass, on the other hand, never even made it out of the
starting gate, being shut down in her first appearance
by the G&L Anniversary Bass.
So what say you, voters and lovers of all things bass?
How does this handsome retro Ibanez fare against a Gold Medal Contender?
A contender, I might add, that soundly beat the Silver Medal contender,
Nordstrand SC5 bass with a shut-out score of 11-0, but then fell in the following week
to the Ibanez Prestige bass.
Is the 'left behind" Dingwall - the least favourite of the big 5 finalists -
beautiful enough to trounce a bass that never even made it to a medal round?
YOU DECIDE!!!
