Finishing up a week long run on Fremont Street in downtown Vegas tomorrow night - outdoors. 19 sets down, three more to go. I must say, last night was definitely a first for me, playing in 37 degree weather. Tonight was not any better. Brrrrrr!

That is so cool. To see you up there and know you're taking TMBG is amazing!! It speaks of your qualities as a player and the course's (Roy's) qualities as a teacher!!

Thank you so much. You are too kind. For me, it was just a matter of feeling I'd hit a bit of a brick wall and needed to find a teacher (in this case, Roy) so as to reassess what I could do versus what I had limited myself to. Even Neil Peart not too many years ago tore down his entire style of playing and took lessons from Freddy Gruber in order to expand his abilities. I'm a firm believer that few of us know all we can and can benefit from starting all over and learning new abilities.

Great photos, Bruce!

My son was in Las Vegas, running in the marathon there last weekend. They changed it to an evening run and he said it was a bit chilly.

Appears the participation in that marathon has outstripped the organizer's capacity to operate it. Quite a few "hitches" in the process - allowing slower runners/walkers in the corrals with faster runners (makes those in that and the next slower categories run through all the walkers and plodders in order to be competitive at all), running out of water at some stations (a serious no/no!)and running out of food at the finish. They just didn't ramp it up from the 25,000 that ran it last year to the +/- 45,000 this year. They are wanting 65,000 next year but he said he won't be back.

I think the route included the strip. He went to see the Blueman show on Monday.
