OK! Gang!! This is the list of Recording Magazines that I subscribed to for years when I had my studio some years back
and I recommend them all!! I no longer subscribe to all of these because I can't afford all those mag subs if you know
what I mean? But they all were great to me!! So if you can afford any or all of these you can't go wrong!! I could say
something on all of them for sure but don't have the time here. You will need to check them out. I actually still have from all these mags (are most of them that had CD'S or DUD'S with them) for the many years I subscribed to them still have them stored on hard drives!! So here's the list and the links for them. This should keep you Home recording enthusiast chopping at the bit for a bit!!

It’s certainly good info L6B. I’m sure that many pros including yourself subscribe to these magazines, but I’m an amateur. I’m not too keen on subscriptions and their inherent ongoing cost. I prefer all-in-one package like the “Ultimate Home Recording School” DVD course that I pay for once and that’s it.

I think that a lot of TR members don’t have much time to dig through the magazines to find exactly what they’re looking for. I don’t mind doing a quick search on the web to find out what I need, but it takes much less effort and time. For instance, I needed to know if I can get away with mixing and mastering on headphones, and I found the answer within minutes. The search engines are pretty good in matching queries.

Granted, you don’t have access to the whole magazine online, but nobody wants to spend hours on end going through tons of info and piece everything together. If you get a well-rounded course, you’re cutting down on the cost and time factor. If you still need additional info, use the web or Forum like this one.

I think it’s best to elaborate on specific topics if we can, and turn this Forum into Home Recording Knowledge Base. And I’m sure you will provide a lot of insight into the world of recording.

Not no more on the subscriptions, I can't afford it any more. But there great sources of info that bring you step by step in a lot of the
recording process each month. By the way, did you receive the DVDs yet. I'm thinking on investing in the live DVDs set also!! Let me know what you think of them when you get them.

Like I said some where else here, I'm feeling kinda sick since I'm getting back into this the tons of books, dvds, videos, cd's that
I've sold on this subject over the years I know covers most ever thing Dave covers and Live reinforcement set up and recording
live just about everything you could possibly image. Well at least some of it is still in back of the brain some where that will pop out
soon or later when something triggers it I guess? If it does I'll let everyone know!!

No sweat L6B! Don't you be getting sick now. I'm still waiting for the DVDs. You know, the estimate is 6 -10 days international and I'm in Canada. I should get them next week. I will certainly let you know what I think, but you already know.

Re: "Ultimate Home Recording School." Hey L6B, I got the DVDs. Imagine it took the package two weeks to reach me. Anyway, I love the stuff. David goes just deep enough for a layperson to understand the concepts without dumping too much technical stuff, but make on mistake. The instruction is quick, intense, and very comprehensive. The first DVD on Sound & Recording was a breeze for me, but the second DVD on Effects & Mixing slowed me down substantially. For that stuff to sink in, I will have to go over it several times. I haven’t watched the third DVD on Mastering yet. It’s got bonuses in the form of PDF files, sample audio files, demos, additional Effects Video, etc. Although you probably know all this stuff, I think it would be a great refresher course for you. Who knows, you might even learn something new. David’s really good at explaining things.
