So this is why they call it practice. I guess so??? Just thought I'd put up a little having fun with band practice
and some progress if you want to call it that and some thoughts along the way. And one of these days we will
try to set up camera's and sound up mo better but everything is done at the spare of the moment kind of thing.
It's actually a new experience for me really in trying to play in a band like this, so much harder for some reason
then playing in my 20 years plus P&W band. I'm guessing in the P&W band for the most part I don't follow the
original bass lines I use my own style of everything that I've learned over the years and go with that and no one
seem to have a problem with it. But now in this band it really becomes what you call practice because now in
the oldies type of band I want to learn the bass lines more note for note but my brain and own style want to
jump in, and that's OK sometimes but I personally have to keep it to a minimum so maybe actually a more of a
beginner may have a easier time learning these things, but once again I say it, So this is why, they call it
practice, I guess? One more thought before I move on to pics and videos!!
What's the most coolest about all this band is, How the young guys except the old man!! ME!! Hey somebody has
to keep these guys in time you know.
I'm also going to see if I can set this up with story line feel.

PS. In about a week another friend is coming aboard who plays some mean Allman Brothers like guitar
and keyboardist soon for some Grand Funk stuff!! Could get interesting then!!

OK the first one I know I put here before but since it calls out to Thunderrow folks I'm doing it again so listen up
were talking to you directly.

Now this really fits the bill for a song I'm kind of embarrassed by the looks of especially me, but it did fit
the feel of the song I was definitely feeling Comfortably Numb this night, just a short piece video.
3071 Very intense NUMBNESS 3072
And he's just NuMb 3073

We actually got Comfortably Numb down pretty well and complete by nights end but this is not it just practicing it
mess ups and all but what you expect when your as Comfortably Numb as we were?

One last one for the night a whole song video but if you look over the bottom of the screen I'm down there playing
somewhere. But at least you see the light now. So good night my people here and BE GOODEE and remember as you watch all this,

So this is why, they call it practice, I guess?

Pretty good, Boys! Have the neighbours called the cops yet?

There is no pain - you are receding...

The great thing about where we practice is that it is on 10 acres of land and the nearest neighbors might just hear us if that unlucky.

Thought I would put up a helpful hint (at least it's working for me) how I am learning some songs for the band. (BASS LINES) And after this you can learn the song from it if you go find the tabs are learn it without them that's up to you.
I've done the work for you (all most) so you can listen and watch the video (might find it entertaining) and see how the bass lines change for the most part in each section that I give. Well here it is. I think the free version of this will do this for you although I have the paid one.
You can go download REALPLAYER AT http://www.real.com/ And there is a trim feature on Realplayer that allows you to trim selections of any video song or mp3 that you have and again put in many sections that you need then you can loop each one to play over and over. So here's one that I did and you will see how the BASS LINES change in each different section (close as I could get it) So trim them at the numbers I give you and start from the beginning and continue till you get it. There are 10 trims to this one and here they are.

1. 004-054, 2. 0:55-1:07, 3. 1:07-1:17, 4. 1:17-2:09, 5. 2:09-2:27, 6. 2:27-2:38, 7. 2:38-3:01, 8. 3:01-3:13,

9. 3:13-3:25, 10. 3:25-3:50 NOTE!! Trims are for the first video.

OK here's the video of the song. Remember, Don't stop BELIEVING. By the way, speaking of Don't stop Believing,
If anyone is interested in more like this let me know. My next one like this for the band is Don't Stop Believing by
Journey!!

PS. Next practice for our band we set up a 1080p High def video camera for recording all the rest of our practices from here on at least that's the plan? It takes the bass player to think about these kind of things, you know?
Hope some find this helpful?
