Hey everyone. I want to get a rack style tuner due to my latest experience in a dark club. I had to have my wife hold my tuner up for me so I could see it...... YEA ALL BAD

I have seen a lot of these KORG tuners on rigs in live situations.....

http://www.austinbazaar.com/Korg-DTR-2000-Digital-Rack-Mount-Tuner-p/kor-dtr2000.htm?CAWELAID=1592589216&gclid=CMvIhvW637kCFeqDQgodsVwAew

But they are not making anymore.............

So, the one I am thinking about is this one....

http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-BTR2000-2-Channel-Rack-Tuner/dp/B000KUBOBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379868536&sr=8-1&keywords=korg+rack+tuner+for+bass

Any thoughts on this.

Is the Behringer available anywhere you can test it in person?

All of my local stores try and sell me floor tuners and I tell them that I dod not use pedals so I WANT a rack style...

They say "sorry we don't stock that"

Only seen it on line

All my Boss tuners are pedal tuners (a TU2 and a TU3), easy to put where they are out of the way, and when I'm using an amp that doesn't have a footpedal mute (2 of my Eden amps do and one doesn't) I can use the tuner as a mute.

I don't like the distraction of some rack style tuners that flash back and forth while I'm playing.

My husband has a version of that tuner. I hate it. It's so flipping sensitive it's extremely difficult to tune with. YMMV. Definitely try before you buy.

Have you thought about a clip on tuner? Haven't tried them but I know they have them.

Just one there's a bunch.

Works on bass also.

Not sure if they would work in your setting never tried but I'm sure rack would be your best best. But what I've read, work in some
gig situations but might be a pain in others. But these are available if someones interest. Me I use Line6 Pod.

I am building a rack......

I pick up my NEW MESA BOOGIE STRATEGY amp next month.....

So I am looking for the LOOK as I have space to fill. I have a clip on tuner and do not really like it... Talk about touchy..

MESA is building an ALL TUBE amp again after stopping production of the 400 years ago. I cannot wait This is the little brother...

Thanks for the help, but I am kinda of set on being able to mute and look at the rack and tune real fast.

That is a beautiful amp!

I agree with you on headstock-mount tuners. I haven't ever found any I liked. They seem to work fine on guitar, but are pretty annoying with the lower bass frequencies. How about looking at the Korg rack mount tuner? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PitchBlkRack?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&gclid=CPGV2eqG6bkCFcyZ4AodeDYAZw

I have the pedal version of the PitchBlack, and I really love it. I'd certainly trust a Korg product over Behringer, too. They aren't exactly known for quality long-lasting products.

LOL! Happy to help. :) It should look really cool, since the color scheme matches your new amp.
