Hello, my name is Samuel Burton. I became a Thunder Row member to learn more about the world of bass and better myself as a bass player/musician.

Ax ? My Maëstro call it a "Violin" or "Viool" as it is called in our language. ;)

Welcome to Thunder Row. I think it's the friendliest place to learn about bass, bassists, and playing the dang thing!

Samuel:

Spend some time around this place,
You soon will be the ace of bass.

Welcome.

Okay, You got Ashley thinkin'. (You have no idea how dangerous THAT can be!) She says we ought to have a Thunder Row anthem and that could be the opening line:

Spend some time around this place
And soon you'll be the ace of bass.

So, now she wants everyone to chip in with lyrics! (See what you've started?)
Oh well, go ahead, make an ace of yourself...
I'm just sayin'...

Ok Ralph, you asked for it. Don't take this too personally as it's all in jest. Here's my contribution:

Ignore the rude comments from moonface
And you'll find this to be a great place. :)

It's a good thing you're bassists,
Is all I can say
(though perhaps you can wriggle,
or dance and sashay)
When it comes to libretto
You're less than refined
(Though I doubt that the other bass players would mind)
For me, though, whose senses are more recondite
(What can I say that won't seem impolite?)
I require a tune with more "oomph" and pizzaz!
A little more pop, less blues, and more jazz!
A jingle, a ditty, that begs to be sung
That lingers like glue on the tip of the tongue
A little more work you may wish to expend
And with that I will bring this - my song - to an end!

I'm just sayin'...
Sir Ralph

To be called out while cranking a loud, low note. Changes as you choose. I like kind of an E - A mix. Or without a bass at all. Be the bass with your soul.

Repeat ad nauseam...add verses...pass it around as an improv...

Boom! Thunder Row!
Boom, BOOM! The Chateau!
Boom, BOOM! Where to go!
Boom, BOOM!

Boom! Thunder Row!
Boom, BOOM! Roy’s a pro!
Boom, BOOM! Feel the flow!
Boom, BOOM!

Sir Ralph

I know I'm a bit late, but here's my attempt
(shameless copy of Thunderstruck by AC/DC)

[sound of thunder ON]
la la la la, la la la la
THUNDER !
la la la la, la la la la
THUNDER !
la la la la, la la la la
THUNDER !

I got stuck
in the middle of my new bass-line... (thunder)
I Searched the net,
But nothing I found was fine (thunder)
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do? (thunder)
And I knew
I might get help, get help from you (Thunder)
I talked to Roy
And he said ...
You should visit, visit the row (thunder)
And I found
[silence]
[bass drum kicks 3 times]
THUNDERROW
[crowd cheering]
[sound of thunder OFF]

all credit goes to the Young brothers ;);)

Okay, folks -

You're next assignment is to make it music! (Elmeaux' electronic chorus can sing it!)
Good luck!
