I have a new post on my blog, but I thought I'd print it here as well.
As I got ready for work on Tuesday morning, September 11th, 2001, I sat to check my email and found something from a friend in Dallas. It was sent to a group of us. All it said was, "Guys, turn on your TVs. A plane just crashed into the World Trade Center."
I quickly turned on the TV and started my experience of the day's events. I don't remember the exact details

I had been trying to get my new website working, but the Google hosting left something to be desired. There's a lot to be said for what they have to offer for free, but there are too many things not up to speed for my liking. As well, the amount of space you get for your stuff is very limited.
It's not like I need a bottomless pit of web space, but just as I like loose-fitting and roomy clothes, I also like a loose-fitting, roomy website. I want to upload whatever I choose, without
Soooooo, I had two practice sessions today. I'm still working on speed, but I think I might need to slow it down a touch. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle? Machine gun fast plucking. Ow!!
Oh, well...two steps forward, one step back.
Rapid-fire plucking is a little too much like typing, and I have serious repetitive stress injury in my hands and sometimes can't even flex my fingers properly.

I practiced for about two hours today and have started to notice some changes (progress) in my playing.
I'm starting to get a real sense of connection with the music. I'm not just playing notes or repeating patterns. I'm actually feeling "in control" of the basslines.
I think this is the result of gaining confidence in my knowledge of the fretboard. For example: knowing where an E is anywhere on the board. (pick a letter)
