It's just been announced that our good friend Bernhard Lackner will be taking center stage at the London Bass Show March 3rd and 4th. Exact time hasn't been set yet to the best of my knowledge (and, being Grinderswitch, I know all!) If you're going to be there, be there!
Meantime, the folks at Rotosound asked us to pass along the following:
Doug Wimbish to Appear on Rotosound Stand At The London Bass Guitar Show 2012
Doug Wimbish, best known for his work with the rock band Living Colour, is set to appear on the Rotosound Stand at the London Bass Guitar Show 2012, the Olymipia Conference Centre, London.
Considered to be a pioneer in hip hop bass playing and the use of bass effects, alternate tunings and extended hand techniques, Doug Wimbish is a real visionary when it comes to playing the bass. As an extremely versatile bassist he has worked with many of the music world’s greats including Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, Madonna and Joe Satriani. He is an original on this instrument, technically great and masterfully groovy.
You can meet Doug and chat with him at 1.00pm on Sunday 4th March on the Rotosound stand. And you can also meet Bruce Foxton at 2.00pm on Saturday 3rd March on the Rotosound Stand.
See you there!
