  • Roy Vogt and Adam Nitti bring the Basses to NAMM Weekend!

Roy Vogt and Adam Nitti present two nights of bass at Summer NAMM

Roy Vogt and Adam Nitti are presenting two nights of back to back Bass at the Nashville Summer NAMM on Friday July 13 and Saturday, July 14 at Douglas Corner Café, 2016 8th Ave. South, Nashville, TN 37204 www.douglascornercafe.com
Some of the finest bassists in the country are appearing with proceeds going to the W.O. Smith Community Music School www.wosmith.org as a memorial gift to honor the late Charles Dungey, legendary Nashville bassist and music educator. Tickets are $10 for each night and are available at the door.
The Stellar lineup for Friday night’s Second Annual Thunder Row Bass Bash (hosted by Roy Vogt and his Urban Legend Band) includes:
    Darren Michaels
    www.darrenmichaelsbass.com
After having Darren open the show last year with his beautiful and ethereal looped soundscapes we had to have him back for more.
    David Pastorius
    www.davidpastorius.com
David was a surprise guest last year and he combines the best of his uncle with some of his own game. If you can’t catch him with 518 in Florida here’s a good chance to see him do his thing.
    Keith Horne http://www.instituteofbass.com/archi...s/horne_keith/
For nearly 2 decades Keith was a mainstay in the Nashville Music Scene with The Wooten Brothers, Tanya Tucker, Peter Frampton, Trisha Yearwood and Hot Apple Pie (where he contributed one of the only slap solos on Country Radio!). Now relocated to Virginia, Keith’s appearance will remind everyone in Nashville and NAMM visitors why he was everyone’s favorite bassist with a great combination of groove and jaw-dropping chops.
Tim Smith and the Detroit Memphis Experience
    http://detroitmemphi***perience.com/
With great musicianship, Soul and a very funky groove, Tim’s band brings a breath of fresh backbeat to the proceedings. Tim has provided groove for Bonnie Bramlett, Bill Evans, Sir Tom Jones and too many others to mention and his band is absolutely great!
Roy Vogt and his Urban Legend Band
    http://www.royvogt.com/
With a 32 year career in Nashville as a bassist and educator and two solo CDs under his belt, Roy brings his crack Urban Legend Band into Douglas Corner to host Friday night’s proceedings. He has played everything from Country to Pop to Jazz to Rock everywhere from the studios of Nashville to Moscow and Beiruit. In addition, his innovative Teach Me Bass Guitar Course www.teachmebassguitar.com has set a new standard for bass education.

On Saturday night Adam Nitti host’s the Music Dojo Bass Bash with the following great players:

    Doug Johns
    www.dougjohns.com
An amazing dynamo of technique, grooves, energy, musicality and innovation, Doug brings his bass/drum duo into Douglas Corner. It’s an amazing experience and not to be missed.
    Quintin ‘Q’ Berry
    www.qbass.com/
Quintin has amazed the bass playing elite with his innovative techniques and his work with Uglistick www.uglistick.com has garnered a rabid fan base for the band and Quintin alike. The Music Dojo Bass Bash will mark the CD release party for Quintin’s long awaited solo CD “Hot Hands”.
    Dave Pomeroy
    www.davepomeroy.com
Bassist, producer, label exec., columnist for Bass Player Magazine, President of the Nashville Musicians Association, Dave wears many, many hats. Tonight he is wearing the hat of Solo Bass Artiste and the mindset that brought forth both his solo CDs and The All-Bass Orchestra. A rare solo set from Dave is not a thing to be missed!
    Adam Nitti
    www.a****itti.com
Bassist, composer, educator, Bass Player and Bass Musician columnist, and
producer Adam Nitti truly lives up to the name of his label, Renaissance Man Records. Tonight he is playing with drum dynamo Kirk Covington (Tribal Tech, Captain Kirk), guitarist Tom Hemby and keyboard wizard Michael Whittaker. It should be a powerful set!

In addition, there will be many, many special guests and surprises.
