  • Brubaker Giveaway - Runner-Up Prize Info

We have not been successful in hearing from the two runner-up prize winners who entered the Brubaker contest from the online submission form. Both were entitled to a Roy Vogt Urban Legend CD. One would have received the Rotosound String Cleaning Kit with his CD, and the other a set of Dunlop bass strings.

Since we have not heard from either man within the allotted two week claim period (and we DID try to contact them twice) we sent each of them an email informing them that they have (unfortunately) forfeited their prizes.

We will now be choosing two new names to claim this great swag. I'm not going to film the draw this time, but I will use the same number generating process to select two random winners from the list. The four winners who have claimed their prizes have been removed from the list and the number generator cache will be cleared again to ensure fairness.

I should be able to get the new draw done over the weekend, so stay tuned until then!

      "Drive by" contest enterers?

They enter and never bother to even check back on the results or answer emails regarding winning entries? !!!!!!

Good luck to all on the second drawing - and watch for an eMail, eh?!!!

Elmeaux, just so you know (and I KNOW you want to know...) I am available to receive a prize. Just one, mind you...don't want to appear greedy!

We contacted them both the day of (or the day after) the draw. The mail included a link to the drawing video. Nothing from either man. I send another email a week later, giving them to the 15th to step up to claim their prizes or they would forfeit. On the 165h, the forfeiture mails went out. The mails were clearly labeled as being from the Thunder Row Brubaker Brute Prize Giveaway, so even if they landed in SPAM, they should have been able to catch them and drag them back.

Question: In your mind, was two weeks sufficient time to allow for a prize claim?

Absolutely! However, just so there is no misunderstanding, time limits on claiming a prize should be included in the rules when the giveaway is announced. Then these two individuals have no justifiable complaints because they forfeited their prize!!!

I 100% agree with this. Two weeks is absolutely enough time to claim a prize, but I would think it would be a good idea for TMBG to cover its butt by putting that in the rules.

+1 Two weeks is enough, but as Nicki says, putting that in the TMBG rules would be the right thing to do.

That is a great suggestion and we will definitely include a claim-date cutoff in all future giveaways. If I'd been thinking, it would have been there all along.

I love hanging out with smart people!! Thanks, y'all. Thanks for pointing it out, SilverFlame46!
