  • WANTED: Are You Contagious?

The Learning Dock, producer of Teach Me Bass Guitar, is looking for videos with viral potential of children and/or animals playing or playing with bass guitars. Entires must be submitted by April, (preferably of this year) and the winning entry will be chosen by visitors to Thunder Row. The winner will get six sets of Dunlop bass strings. All entries become the property of TLD and submission is regarded as agreement for TLD to use the video to promote TMBG.

    Fair enough?

    No, go get cute!
    Ed.

Is this stuff people make on their own, or things we find on the internet?

I think you'll need to record your own video.

      based on this :
All entries become the property of TLD and submission is regarded as agreement for TLD to use the video to promote TMBG.
If you find a YouTube or other video that's not yours TLD cannot become the owner of it and don't use it as promotional video for TMBG (since that requires permission from the copyright holder).

Now I'm not sure how the YouTube license works so I can be wrong here.

You're right Patrick. We're looking for originals. It's very difficult to create a video that doesn't seem contrived. We're probably looking at something simple like laying your bass on the floor (or other secure position) cranking it up and letting your baby, grandbaby, puppy, kitten, iguana or great-great-grandmother have at it and hope their reaction/action/interaction is cute or funny or unexpected, etc. One of my personal favorites is supremely simple - but I could watch it for hours. Well, minutes anyway. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPar4PvRWAY

      Good luck!

Any takers yet? Surely your kitties are dying to be filmed.
