  • O Canada!!

    Dingwall SJ5 5 string - $5100.00 US

The Super J is their interpretation of the Classic J style bass, they deconstructed the original design, kept what worked and improved on everything else.

The look and feel lean toward the traditional, but the tone and performance are everything you’d expect from a Dingwall.

Dingwall downsized the scale 2” from their standard scale range for a faster attack and quicker, punchier decay. The results are great clarity on the B and E-strings with a big and warm quality to the D and G-strings.

    Dingwall SJ5 Specifications:

    - Black high gloss finish
    - Alder Body with tone chambers
    - Pearloid pickguard - option
    - Maple fingerboard - option
    - Three piece maple neck - satin finish
    - Volume (p/p active/passive), Pickup selector (Bridge, both parallel, both series, Neck), bass, treble (tone control in passive mode)
    - Super Fatty pickups
    - Active/Passive push/pull switching on volume

    - Chrome Custom Bridge, Chrome Hipshot ultralight tuners
    - Weight 8lb 13oz/3.9kgs
    - Levys Deluxe Gig bag and tools

A Dingwall is one of my personal, "want to have" basses. I love my Tobias/MTD basses and my old Fender is so cool, but I have played a Dingwall 5 string and was so impressed with it. This new Dingwall jazz may be something to check out, but I do like the Lee Sklar custom a whole lot!

And here I was hoping for a "Jimi Hendrix" style bass version of "O Canada!"
My wife (who is English) and I sing that beautiful song many times a year. We are avid (rabid) hockey fans and so we often get the opportunity
      GO SHARKS!
