During my adult life I’ve done some cool stuff. The ones that stand out in my mind are; I’ve Piloted a Cessna 172 solo (I have a total of about 9 hours solo flight time), I’ve made a Hole in One on a real golf course, I’ve flown the actual Space Shuttle Simulator at Johnson Space Center and made an almost perfect landing (I didn’t touch down on the center line but I did come to a stop on it), and I scored a (personal best) 76 on a Par 70 golf course.

Recently I added another thing to my “cool list.” I attended Roy Vogt’s Fantasy Bass Boot Camp. It was a real pleasure meeting all of the other campers (there were fourteen of us all together) as well as finally meeting Roy (I've been a TMBG student since 2010 so I felt like I already knew him although he didn't know me). I also got to meet and get instruction from some of the other premier bass players in the world such as Tim Smith, Adam Nitti, Stu Hamm, and Anthony Wellington. But wait, there's more. I got to play live at the Rutledge (to a packed house) and make a recording in the studio with the Urban Legend Band. And on top of that, I experienced three nights of totally kick a$$ live entertainment. How could this not make anyone's "cool list."

Fifty weeks until FBBC 2014. The countdown begins.

Definitely one for the "Cool list" Dave! I don't know about you but it has been hard for me to get back into the swing of everyday life after such a great week.

      Hey Stanton.

I'm retired, so my life doesn't really have a "swing" unless I make one.

Has it really been two weeks since Bass Camp started, and a week since it ended? The week at camp flew by so fast! Can't wait until next year! Hope to see you there.
