  • Stan, Dale, And Roy - This Friday!

Snap on 2&4 w/ Stan Lassiter
    Friday, April 25
    8:00pm
    The Jazz Cave
Nashville Jazz Workshop, 1319 Adams Street

Join us on Friday, April 25 as the Nashville Jazz Workshop welcomes guitar phenom Stan Lassiter to the Jazz Cave! Stan's performance will continue our Snap on 2&4 series.

Stan grew up in Tennessee and has enjoyed a remarkable career in music since teaching himself the guitar at the age of 13. From jamming with the Allman Brothers to opening for Sonny Stitt while still a young man, Stan eventually earned his Master's Degree in Pedagogy and Classical Guitar from the George Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.

Stan has released multiple recordings, from the mind-bending fusion of Psychic Sweat as the Stan Lassiter Group to his more recent solo work, Orpheus Naad. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of conventional music, and the combination of his masterful technique and fascinating philosophy on music creates for a truly unique experience. Stan also holds adjunct faculty positions at Fisk University and Belmont University.

Stan's latest work, Russian Dragon, was released this year and features some outstanding progressive rock outside of anything he has released before. The album can be found through CD Baby.

Joining Stan will be his long-time bandmates Dale Armstrong on drums and Roy Vogt on bass.

Tickets will be $20 / $10 for students with ID. They are on sale now and are available online HERE or by phone at 615.242.5299 or 800.838.3006. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
