  • Two Fave Isolated Bass Tracks

I'm sure we're all familiar with this business of isolating bass tracks on YouTube. I love it, and I want to share a couple of my faves.

Do you have a fave? Lotta good Beatles, Zep, Floyd, and Sabbath out there. And much more!

How do you isolate the bass?

The tech heads will know more. I imagine there's a computer program. Similar to the TMBG prog that removes Roy's bass so the student can play the part.

Isn't it just a frequency analyser with the capability to filter particular parts of the spectrum. Like Anytune or Transcribe! or presumably any conventional music mixing software/DAW.

Most likely, they have access to the masters and the bass was tracked separately. Or in the case of the Boston song, along with the drums. If the song was tracked live there would still be bleedover after the filtering.
