Suzi Quatro Video Interview
Suzi Quatro is known for her role as female bass player Leather Tuscadero on the 1970s hit television show “Happy Days.” Show producer Garry Marshall offered the role without an audition after seeing a picture of her on his daughter’s bedroom wall.
I fondly remember seeing her on Happy Days and as a young kid, had a huge crush on her, not just because I thought she was attractive, but she played the bass guitar!
I would have to say that she was one of many influences that inspired me to play bass guitar. Suzi has gone on to sell over fifty million records worldwide! She was indeed the first female bassist to become a “rock star.” When I sat down with her, I found her to be very warm and easy to talk to. She has a real passion for the bass and this will go down as one of my favorite interviews in the history of Bass Frontiers Magazine. We hope you enjoy her story!
