It sure sounds like a good solution, sort of. However, I make it a point to NOT WEAR A BELT, when playing, so as to eliminate the dreaded buckle rash. I do like Musicvox's website though and have been looking into their rather unique bass guitar offerings. I personally think the cure to neck dive is avoid guitars that have the upper strap lug positioned too far bridgeward from the 12th fret, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, some fine instruments, that may be quite desirable, suffer from this problem. So, It seems to me, on neckdiving guitars, the lower (closest to the bridge) strap mount needs to be relocated upwards on the body, as in, away from the centerline of the neck (some guitars incorporate this design already). This would reduce the mechanical leverage of the strap on the bridge end of the guitar and help achieve that good balance thing. I think an adapter could be engineered that would accomplish this without permanently modifying the guitar. Maybe. On some guitars. Possibly. It's one of those "thought" experiments going on in my head. It helps me drown out the voices.
