Roy Vogt brings his Thunder Row Bass Invitational to Douglas Corner Café (www.douglascorner.com) in Nashville, TN on July 9-10 in conjunction with the Summer NAMM Show. This year there are two nights of great bassists and their bands. The tickets are $10 at the door and benefit the W.O. Smith Music School (www.wosmith.org ), the Andy Irvine Medical Fund (www.gofundme.com/u6pc624 ) and The Lane Baldwin Medical Fund (www.gofundme.com/q4tdk8) . Andy and Lane are both standout figures in the Bass Community who have given to many and now need our help with extraordinary medical expenses.
Thursday, July 9th will present the talents of Nashville’s own Ryan Madora, Dylan Thomas (presented by Artisan Basses), Roy Vogt and Justin Kalk’s Guitarmageddon, Andy Irvine, David Pomeroy, Innocent Mondays and many surprise guests. The show starts at 8:30.
On Friday, it’s Scott Fernandez, Jared Lees, Igor Saavedra, Jared Lees, Chris Cardone (presented by Prat Basses) Jon von Boehm(presented by Prat Basses and Phil Jones Bass Amps), Vuyani Wakaba (presented by Essential Sound Products and Tecamp), Roy Vogt’s 4 on Six (presented by Carvin/Kiesel Guitars and DNA Amps) and Kristin Bidwell (presented by Fodera Basses).
In addition, there will be instruments by many of Nashville’s finest custom Bass Builders on display for the consideration of the attendees.
