    Hi Elmeaux,

Are you having any trouble with the Thunder Row web site? I keep getting an error message every time I try to access the forum or my profile that says there is a problem with the site database. I noticed an update to Firefox so I switched to Explorer but I am having the same problem using that browser also. I am wondering if the problem is on my end or if there is a problem at the Thunder Row web site. Very strange. This is what I am getting: Database error
The Thunder Row database has encountered a problem.
    Have a great week. Brian

I am 6 miles south of I-90 in Erie, PA. We have a ton of Canadians that come to Erie in bus loads to go shopping. Now we get even more since the casino was built next to I-90. My thoughts were, if you come to Erie at all for shopping or gambling I could meet up with you for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. I am not sure what the attraction is here in Erie since I consider it the black hole of the world but something must be attracting the Canadian population. Beats me why they don't just go to Buffalo to shop. Anyway, it was a shot in the dark and I missed.lol Thanks for accepting my friend request and you are now the proud first and only friend on my profile. I'm happy. Thank you and keep the thunder rolling. Brian

You wouldn't happen to be around the Niagra Falls area would you? If so, have another question for you. lol
  7. Being my friend means you've agreed to accept me for being a jerk sometimes...knowing my heart is decent, waaaaaaay down deep inside. Reeeeaaaallly deep down.

And I'll never let you go!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Hey, does being a friend automatically make one a friend of one's friend's friends?

And now Kenny Loggins is in my head, thanks very much. "Whenever I call you, friend ... "

I have a new post on my blog, but I thought I'd print it here as well.

As I got ready for work on Tuesday morning, September 11th, 2001, I sat to check my email and found something from a friend in Dallas. It was sent to a group of us. All it said was, "Guys, turn on your TVs. A plane just crashed into the World Trade Center."

I quickly turned on the TV and started my experience of the day's events. I don't remember the exact details

ElmoWorx Site - Update

by Elmeaux on 05-13-2011 at 03:01 PM
I was under the misapprehension that my new site was www dot elmoworx.com.

This is wrong. It's actually just elmoworx.com...no WWW at the front.

Here is the proper link.

http://elmoworx.com

Blah, blah, blah...same rules apply about under construction.

ElmoWorx Site

I had been trying to get my new website working, but the Google hosting left something to be desired. There's a lot to be said for what they have to offer for free, but there are too many things not up to speed for my liking. As well, the amount of space you get for your stuff is very limited.

It's not like I need a bottomless pit of web space, but just as I like loose-fitting and roomy clothes, I also like a loose-fitting, roomy website. I want to upload whatever I choose, without

Soooooo, I had two practice sessions today. I'm still working on speed, but I think I might need to slow it down a touch. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle? Machine gun fast plucking. Ow!!

Oh, well...two steps forward, one step back.

Rapid-fire plucking is a little too much like typing, and I have serious repetitive stress injury in my hands and sometimes can't even flex my fingers properly.

I wear these heavy duty braces while typing so computer work isn't

A Step Forward

by Elmeaux on 03-10-2011 at 06:51 PM
I practiced for about two hours today and have started to notice some changes (progress) in my playing.

I'm starting to get a real sense of connection with the music. I'm not just playing notes or repeating patterns. I'm actually feeling "in control" of the basslines.

I think this is the result of gaining confidence in my knowledge of the fretboard. For example: knowing where an E is anywhere on the board. (pick a letter)

It gives me the freedom
