so i noticed yesterday that i turned a corner in that i feel much more comfortable playing and it doesnt feel forced, but, while im hearing the notes, and playing them, i realized many times i dont knw the notes im playing unless i stop and count frets....lol so, i am going to back up and start playing the tunes paying closer attention to the notation and notes themselves.
i feel kinda like i have been cheating a bit by not paying more attention to these aspects but also feel that
spent tonight watching lessons 7 and 8. really excited to get to those lessons in real time. but feel im getting colser. i lost two weeks of playing due to the kidney stone so im just starting to get my grove back! learning to play the Smiths theres a light that never goes out.
till next time!
havent really spent a ton of time working on TMBG, prob. only once a week or so, but i have been at least picking up the bass everyday. also found a great app for learning the fretboard, so ive been doing that. Also been playing lots of songs. working on technique and staying on tempo.
I really need to work more with the TMBG lessons, but its been hard to find the time away to really focus. but still see a lot of improvement and understanding of what im learning from TMBG!
i had been slacking on my TMBG practice for a few weeks. i felt like i really wasnt getting much better (because of my own doing). I felt like i was just going through the motions. then earlier this week, i went back to the beginning and wow....its amazing how much MORE your brain picks up if you go back over things! i caught some little details that make it so much easier! Little things like hand position movement to really trying to understand the theories being taught and how they move around
