My name is Greg. I've been trying to learn guitar for a couple of years now, using the Learn & Master Guitar course and more recently, from private instruction. Knowing this, my barber asked if I would play a little bass for him while he strummed his guitar and sang. He let me borrow an old bass and small amp he had. I only kept it a month. I was hooked: I bought my own bass equipment. Fast forward to now... a friend connected me with his friend that wanted someone to lay down a simple bass line for his guitar strumming and singing along with some conga percussion. I played one evening with them and decided it was time I got serious about this. I almost feel guilty to admit this because I have been so dedicated to my guitar, but I think I'm a little partial to the bass!
