It all counts....

by The Reverend on 11-29-2013 at 05:47 AM
So it's been a while since my last post. Apologies for the radio silence.
I've been having great fun playing and practicing but got myself into a bit of a bad habit.
By lesson 10 I'd found that I could play a lot of what I loved to listen to. It's so much fun. I just found that by listening enough I could figure out how the music was being made.

What was helping is that i'd made it past lesson 10. So very many of the concepts and principles shown in the course have

Back on track..

Playing "The trouble with the truth" is actually quite nice. Not my type of music at all but I suppose it's best to be versatile.

The next lesson is hopefully going to reinforce something I got

Lesson Ten - still going at it.

by The Reverend on 11-06-2012 at 04:56 AM
So I must admit I've been noodling around a lot more. The Slapping and Popping sessions were the MOST fun. I then started playing around with baselines in my head, which I thought sounded pretty good. Even rolled out a few funky tracks I've loved since I was a kid. Look up Slave, "just a touch of love" when you get a chance. As well as a little Jamiroquai, Love Foolosophy.

I then decided I ought to get back to the lesson as I felt I wasn't applying any structure.
