Fender Marcus Miller Signature Bass MIJ.

by bassbelly on 09-25-2012 at 10:16 AM
Think this bass is a 2006 ish? but the Jap records seem to say it is a 1985 to 86 which is impossible!

Is it your experience that Jap seriel numbers are un reliable. It is the concensus in Europe!

This bass has a lovely on piece Ash body beautiful grain through clear finish. It's in VG to Mint condition and compares to other Marcus Miller basss's.
I think later models have carbon truss rods, so if you know anything about this model please let me know. Thanks.

So it's not easy to find a Luthier who understands all types of stringed instruments.

Back in The Saddle!

This bass lesson gives me so much pleasure. I come into my little studio (spare room!) close the door. that keeps two cats and a Pointer from messing up my stuff! I look at the 2 basses dust my amp (OUCH!) that Peavey logo is real sharp. Anyone else notice that?

I practice in 2 parts.
I start with my Spanish Custom clone of a Yamaha 374 2 x H/Buckers. I call her Linda!
Linda has a think wide neck around 44mm and it's a real stretch for my damaged hand/elbow. But I

Gonna write out the short whole note half note route. My brain is trying to spasm, but am just walking away and coming back when I'm calmer!
I have it now!
Turned to page 5 and panicked! Crap. My eyes are dancing around Figour 1, and although I started to smile at Figour 2 like it was a baby I knew, I just could not settle on it. It is so busy visually. I need to find a way to break it down?
The 2 figours are driving me crazy! I feel upset and disappointed in myself!
