I am by no means an expert, but your problem may not lie in the ceramic floor, rather in "standing waves". It may have more to do with the size and shape of your space as well as how it is furnished....

I don't really see it as a Tele shape. A Tele's upper horn is rounded off, almost flat. The only thing remotely Tele about it is the control plate. Otherwise, to me, it looks a lot like a P-bass.
At the very top of the page find the "Settings" link in the right hand corner. From that page look down the left-hand column until you find "General Settings" and click on it. In the right-hand...
I saw this too. I wonder, will the headstock read "Kiesel" or "Carvin"?
The statement says they are doing it in order to focus exclusively on the advancement of instruments. I'm curious to know what...
Underrated?... Two of my favorite are underrated; Boz Burrell and Carl Radle.
I knew there was something odd about Audacity and couldn't remember exactly what that was. I got lucky and received a deep discount on Presonus Studio One 2 Professional after taking a recording...
Kimgee, are you on Mac or PC? If on Mac you already have GarageBand which is great for beginners. If you are on PC, Audacity is free and should get you started but it is somewhat limited. Most audio...
Elmeaux, I too have considered adding a thumb rest but didn't want the permanency of drilling them into my instrument. I stumbled upon this while exploring the Kala U-Bass. I wonder how well they...
They must have sold out pretty quickly. I just checked back and they have moved on to another product- a Squier Telecaster.
Today only (Friday, July 18, 2014), Musician's Friend is offering the Fender Rumble 30 in blonde on their Stupid Deal of the Day . It normally sells for $179.99 and is marked down to $99.99. This may...
I have this on my desktop and on both my iPhone and iPad with a few songs loaded but have never actually used it to learn a song. Playing around with it, it does work as advertised. It's really cool...
I had a Rumble 150 which I truly loved. The only reason we parted ways was because it was too bulky. I went with a separate head/cab for ease of portability and about 850 more watts of power (not...
I have considered a Dimension, but those Jag's do absolutely nothing for me. I'm also curious about the new PRS SE's.
To start, if you are in or around East Texas, the go-to-guy is Kelly Barbour at Action Sound in Hawkins, TX.
Welcome to The Row, Kim!
It would seem that sanding the top of the saddle could not possibly be an exact science. It may not end up level or it may have an odd angle that would surely change the intonation to some degree,...
On an acoustic guitar the action is lowered by sanding down the bottom of the saddle. By nature, it is a one-time adjustment; obviously there is no going back as there is on your electric with saddle...
Welcome to The Row... And nice gear! I too started on guitar and later found I loved the bass. It's been a very long time since I have picked up the guitar and I'm afraid I probably have forgotten...
Welcome to The Row, Don. We look forward to your input.
Most likely, they have access to the masters and the bass was tracked separately. Or in the case of the Boston song, along with the drums. If the song was tracked live there would still be bleedover...
Welcome, Chris! Yes, this seems to be the most complete self-study course available. I had looked at other videos, online lessons, and books but none have the degree of learning as this. Speaking of...
It's a download. I've downloaded it but haven't tried it yet.
Hey everyone! I didn't know exactly where to post this, but if you are interested in a software program that you can use to write notation and/or tab, PreSonus is having a one day sale today. Their...
This past weekend I attended The 37th Annual Dallas International Guitar Festival. Yes, it is 6-string heavy but our beloved bottom-end is not completely without representation. As I watched one of...
Tobias,
Don't think of it as tuning, rather as synchronizing. Your bass and the software have to "be on the same page" so that it can identify whether you are playing the correct notes.
