Maybe you should get the turkey involved as well and you could be havin' turducken for Xmas ;)
Nice camera adjustment there Troy ;), what was it you were saying about artistic mind, sideways is good. Nice playing by the way.
Great stuff Brian, you guys rock, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Noel1983. All up probably 10 -12 hours work, oiling took the longest, and waiting for each coat to dry, I only did one coat a day, hardware only took a couple of hours. Still tinkering with...
Gods country down there Troy, absolutely stunning, just very cold in winter. I haven't been there yet, but it's on the list. They had some very nasty bushfires down there recently, actually half the...
Mmmm, that does have a good ring to it, I have been researching suppliers quite a bit and the States is the best for hardware, you guys seem to have it all at good prices, I found a timber supplier...
Sounds impressive, waitin' on a listen, let us know how it went when you played out.
Yeah they are single coil, but I reckon they routed it out larger for ease of positioning the neck pickup when the the pickguard is in place.
Can't say for sure what they are made from, but they look good when the light catches them, like a black pearl shell

The screws are the same length as the ones for the bridge pickup. The pickups came with springs for height adjustment and I also put foam under them.

And thanks to ghsky1, L6BM and Elmeaux, for your positive comments as well.
Thanks TobiasMan, the pickup screws into the wood in the bottom of the routing and the pickguard fits over the top. The pickups and guard were actually attached when I opened the box.
Thanks Donnie, I'm a woodworking fan myself so yeah it was great fun, my wife picked this one up on ebay. I was really impressed with how it sounds being a low price kit, I'll try and master the art...
Thanks Brian
Thanks, while I'm happy with the result I don't think she will stand up to the quality usually found on Skin Deep.
Thanks Troy, I'll have to call it the tropicana, hehehe. Yes we've had plenty of sunshine, been quite hot and dry, finally had some decent rain yesterday, one of the cyclones up north turned into a...
Thanks, the kits do make it quite easy and I've got the bug now. I'm already planning another build, I'd like to do a hollow body for my daughter. Also starting to plan a 5 string for myself, but I...
Hi all, I thought I’d share my little adventure with my Xmas present from my wife. She was at me for a while about what I would like for Xmas and my answers were always anything to do with bass. I...
Have to agree with Elmeaux, I too have the plug and the freedom of being able to practice where I want is great, I quite often sit out on the back deck during these warmer months to catch the cool...
Now that is cool, many thanks to Lane in advance and thank you to Patrick. Love a bit of blues
Congratulations to all the winners, new stuff is always fun and encouraging, enjoy
Merry Xmas Donnie and to everyone else on The Row, xmas eve here now, just had a good practice session with my daughter, we're learning Gold On The Ceiling - Black Keys, now it's time for a couple of...
What can I say, the man is a legend, and at 70 he's still out there giving his best, anybody see him on the Sandy Relief concert. The Beatles music is a staple of mine, I love it all.
I was just reading the review on Premier Guitar about this bass, sounds great, looks great and well priced, congratulations.
