    Default D'Addario half wounds

well, i pulled the trigger on some new strings for my peavey millenium. I had been looking for something inbetween rounds and the flats i already have, and i was leaning towards the ghs pressures but ended up getting a set of the D'Addario half rounds in Heavy gague, because that is what they had. and i love em! I have heard that strings make a difference in tone but wow! SOOO much better than the stock strings!! so far i love em! anyone else use these?

I have a set of D'Addario half wound strings, too. I love them. All the boom of a flat wound, with the punch of a round wound. I found them hard to get. I had to order them special.

Stainless would like be a bit brighter than nickel - nice "antique" find!

Mine are regular nickel. Your stainless are probably out of "print", but they still make the half rounds in nickel.
