Excellent, thanks Elmeaux!!!
Gabaptist is great! With his help, I almost have this song down. Looking for "***** friend of sinners", if anyone has seen info on that song
Thanks elmeau. Man does that bass sound NICE! Love that deep, low, sound... Don't know if is the guitar or the amp, but me like!
Yes he did a nice job on that one. I also stole something on that one already to add into my bag of tricks! What's really cool is most of these or almost all of the songs I already do playing bass in our P&W band. Let you in on a little secret for me, for me I've developed over the years my own style so basically I keep with the general theme of the song but for the most part over the years I have played my own style and maybe 95% of the time I never play the original bass line unless the song starts with a bass line then I play it to the tee. I've never had any complaints on that. But the videos such as Gabaptist etc is great to start off learning some of these songs. Maybe what I ought to do around here ( are somebody ) since we seem to have a lot of up and coming newbies and old pros in the P&W Band, we should share some of our experiences and do's and not does etc. I could write another book here. enough for now.
Line6bassman
He opens on the lower notes on the B string, so they are deep notes. Musicman basses tend to be a bit on the bright side, so I'm guessing he has the bass tone on his amp/guitar boosted significantly.
A bit "boomy" for my taste.
You have a point. I have never sat in service comparing song to sheet music to see if the same. Thanks for the experienced player insight.
Wish I had fingers like that!. Dude looks like he could play a 20 string bass relaxed! LOL
Thanks for the tip!
