As a Christian of some 50 years with a strong musical connection to the Church I am very keen to know how this worked out?
My daughter and her husband are two very famous Christian singer song writers. I have seen a lot of schisms in churches due to music issues, and almost always it is driven by ego's!

I hear you on the ego thing and that's a shame because my belief in it all is for the TEAM one body working all together. Although
there is head (of it all) if there is one part of the body that hurts they all suffer and if the HEAD didn't have the parts it would be dead.
So it doesn't make a differences if I'm the head and sometimes I'm am, but I all ways try to put my self on everybody else's level
for the TEAM NO MATTER WHAT!!! ONE COMPLETE BODY. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING?

PS. who's the famous daughter husband if you don't mind?

From what I have learned, the intention is to have a very different service and musical style, and I guess they felt that was enough reason for a different leadership and team.

Well, I'm not involved in the decision. I will let it be.

If that's the way it is being viewed, I'd let it go - no biggie. If it was simply sour apples and someone starting a "competing" band, then it would be tricky to be involved with both, unless there was some way you could frame your participation in both as a healing/connecting step, but that would be difficult.

Hope their new approach works out because one size does not fit all

Turned out to be the sour apples scenario after all.

    And, it is no more.

Sadly, the decision-makers still do not see the conflict or the rift, though I have expressed my p.o.v. to them.

I am now a bridge burner, I suppose.

But thank you guys for your support and clarity of thought!

Sorry to hear that was the origin, but glad it is over. Times like that you have to make a choice.

Hoping it worked out OK for you, bro.

When the time came to make a choice you have to go with what your heart is telling you. If you did that, then you made the right choice for you!!!
Always remember to enjoy where you're at on the way to where you're going!!!
