Default Skin DEEP - Listen To The Guru

Within 24 hours, the Hudson sent another bass packing - a hapless contender called the Spector Euro.

Could we please have a moment of silence for our --

    Never mind.

:::wiffle bats the Euro off the mountain:::

Okay, Hudson, how will you fare against this treacherous monster?

The Phantom Luxman Metal Guru Bass is a formidable challenger for the throne. She's very similar to the Le Fay Remington Steele with the stainless steel, flat radius fretboard.

This metal thunder-making Guru is a 34½ scale bass with...

Maple (top) and Ash (bottom) body
    Maple/Purpleheart neck
    High-gloss black phantom finish
    Monorail 3D bridge
    Black chrome tuning pegs

I can hear the growling from here!!

But it's all up to you!!

The champion, Hudson PB4 Project Bass...

I forgot to mention - the Skin DEEP game will no longer be available to folks who are not members of Thunder Row. We found some holes in the voting process that allowed Guests to place more than one vote. (remember a couple of weeks back when I said we were conducting tests?)

To our valued Guests - if you would like to play Skin DEEP, go to our main page and sign up to be a member of Thunder Row! If you love the bass, play the bass, or WANT to play the bass, we welcome you to our family, and want to see your votes in our weekly game of OUTER beauty.

It's the genre. She's a wooden ax with a metal fretboard.

Well, I won't hold the genre against it, lower cut out gives great access to the high part of the fingerboard (just looks a little odd), and . .

    It's fretless - Yessssssss

The black strings on thee Phantom are a nice touch, too.

The only thing I'd do to change the Phantom is to angle the bottom of that steel fretboard to line up against the pickup all across. I don't care for the flat fretboard end against angled pups.
