    Question: do I play for example Key of A: Chord A, D, E or do I just play the notes A,D.
    , E or do I play the scales for each A,D,E.

    Are you referring to playing a song in the key of A? Or is this to do with scales/practice?

    This is kind of the theory part I'm stuck on, I think I got it but not 100

    The chords you play will depend on the chord progression of the song. If the progression is, for example, I-IV-V and the key is A major, then the chords are A (I), D (IV) and E (V).

    And you probably wouldn't "chord" the notes, as one. You could try a walking bass line of parts of the A scale.
