Thread: Skin DEEP 2014 - Fender Breaks One-Win Streak

Default Skin DEEP 2014 - Fender Breaks One-Win Streak

With a final vote of 7-2 over the Brubaker KXB-6 Fretless Bass, the Fender Dimension Bass is the first ax in this year's competition to win more than one round! Talk about a well-earned victory!

To face the Fender this week, I chose this pretty little number from France.

Let's meet the gal who's going to take on that Cayenne Dimension Bass!

May I introduce the Luthman Lady M 5-String Bass.

Here we go again with the matchy-matchy!!! I find the Luthman Lady to be otherwise a very pleasing bass, indeed. Graceful horn shape, lovely wood. Those PUP covers are just way too much, IMO.

I actually saw a Dimension bass that I quite liked this weekend. It was some sort of a walnut-colored burst finish with a cream pickguard. It's not that I hate the Dimension, it's just that I don't like that one.

The Lady gets my vote this week.

Did you see my description of the pups in the article? They're only SEMI matchy-matchy. I added that comment just for you, Nicki, because you're so easy to please. Heh, heh.

I agree with all the comments about The Lady, she is very beautiful. However, the Fender is just as beautiful and that wood-grain popping out of the red has captured my heart. I may be in the minority but the Fender keeps my vote!!!

The Luthman Lady gets my vote. It is a better looking bass IMO. I just wonder how popular the Fender would be if it didn't have Fender on the headstock. Just a thought.
