Thread: Skin DEEP 2014 - The Luthman Wins!

  1. #1

Default Skin DEEP 2014 - The Luthman Wins!

Woo Hoo! I knew the Luthman would win this week.

Okay wait, both basses were Luthmans. Luthmen?

Ahem, the actual winner was the Luthman Lady M, who defeated her sibling The Jazzette by a vote of 8-4.

:::wifflebats the Jazzette off the mountain into the pile of losers:::

Okay, well, the Lady M moves on to face a new challenger this week. It took me awhile to zoom in on the bass I thought would make a nice competitor, and I finally chose this little gem from ESP.

This is the ESP LTD B-5E Bass.

She's a real beauty, but still has to get by the Luthman Lady M.

Does the ESP have what it takes? Only the voters can decide!

I love the look of the ESP. I'm not sure why more basses do not come in mahogany.

This is one tough decision, because I have voted for THE LADY every time. But, after a lot of thought, I have to go with the ESP this time. Sorry, LADY!!!

I'm sticking with the Lady. I like the presence of her upper horn and prefer her overall shape. I find the LTD to be fairly generic-looking in shape, although the wood is beautiful. .

In the end the Lady with her contrasting dark body wood and maple neck seduced me!

My vote goes for the ESP. The wood and the simplicity entices me.
