I paid about $250.00 Canadian for mine. Worth every penny.

Listened to a couple of You Tube reviews of that effects unit. Lots of strange sounding effects, but very little of the bass amp or bass cab effects. Seems like the reviewers were mostly interested in the weird sounds they could make with their bass, but none of them were what I would be interested in.

Some place else where there are some real world demos?

I know. Everybody wants to demo the effects, but there are very few of the amp simulators. Here is a two-part video series that claims to feature samples of EACH AND EVERY feature of the B3.

There's also a demo on the Long & McQuade site.

    Thanks Elmo.
I had already found and watched the first two. They both focus on the effects (only about 2 or three amp/cab simulations in the first video). Second one was all effects. I'm not that much into effects but a good amp/cab simulator would be fun.

There is a possibility that mine is an older model, and that the newer ones have changed things so that one of the boxes will not close down if it is not properly chained. I was reading the user manual found online and I couldn't find the part that described what to do if that happened. I saw it in my own user manual when I got mine, but now they have the ability to upgrade the firmware, so maybe it's been changed. The Zoom website says they can be chained in ANY order. If that's the case, I need to upgrade the firmware.
