Default Great deal on a Fender

Heads up to anyone looking for a great deal on the nicest Fender I have ever played. Bassplace is selling new 2012 Fender Select Precision Basses for $1295. They list for $2299. I am not a Fender fan really, and this is the first Fender I have actually liked......and I like it a lot. It is light and fits against you body so well it seems to become part of you. It has really surprised me. I have tried several Fender basses and returned them all. This one is a keeper and has become the bass I pick up to play most of the time. Bassplace is running auctions on ebay, but I called their store and they sold me one including shipping for $1295. It came in an un-opened Fender box with all the goodies. I was quite pleased with their service and the guitar. Here's some links:

I've never played one of those, but it looks like a very, very nice P. Simple, which IMO, P's should be.

Great price great bass. I am a P bass lover. My only concern would be the finish. It says it is laquer finish. I thought this type of finish was not allowed in California due to the epa?

Can't get your link to Fender to work.

I think this will work. http://intl.fender.com/en-CA/basses/...olor-sunburst/

Fender uses your IP to determine which site to show you. If you're in the States, you get the American version. Outside the States, it takes you to the appropriate international site. If you live in Canada, it refuses to show you the U.S. site unless you use a VPN to conceal your IP. I hate sites that do that. I always use a VPN. Telling me what I can and cannot look at on the web is totes redonc.
