Thread: Skin DEEP 2015 - Crackercaster Meets MTD

  1. #1

Default Skin DEEP 2015 - Crackercaster Meets MTD

With a final vote of 6 - 4, our TMBG Member owned bass, the Crackercaster 456, has swiped the crown from the reigning champ, the The ESP RB-1004 Bass. It ain't easy beating an ESP, that's for sure! Congrats to the winner!

The Crackercaster now has her work cut out for her. There are many basses out there just drooling for the top spot. And here is one of them...

Meet the MTD Kingston Saratoga Bass.

She's a burnished beauty with a simple colour scheme and MTD's classic design. But does she have enough to snatch back the crown from our current champ, the TMBG Member owned Crackercaster 456 Bass?

My choice between these two goes to the Crackercaster. The MTD is nice but I like a little color!!!
Always remember to enjoy where you're at on the way to where you're going!!!

I am sure that the MTD is a beautifully made and sounding bass, but you have to be seriously into minimalism to appreciate the esthetic.
The Crachercaster gets my vote as well

The Crackercaster is the clear winner of this match-up in my opinion. The MTD looks positively generic......as in yawnsville.

The Kingston is not at the level of Michael's standard, American made basses, but they great playing basses, made to Michael's specs in China

An excellent, lower cost way to get into Michael's world of custom bass manufacturing.

    I'm partial to Michael's basses . . .

New round coming in the morning! Polls are closed since we received a tie-breaking vote - I just need a bit of bed rest before I post. I'm better, but not 100%.
