The only thing sadder than the loss of this great musician is all the scrapping and fighting I've read about - concerning his family - over his estate. Shameful.

I read this very sad news this morning on a news site. "The Thrill is Gone" is one of the first blues songs that I learned since I started playing at the Central Virginia Blues Society jams last year. It's one of the songs that I play almost every day as part of my blues set playlist. He was, indeed, King of the Blues.
