    Default New Bass Day

My new beast actually arrived yesterday, but I was too jet-lagged from returning from Europe the night before to post a picture. Here it is - Sadowsky NYC 24 fret 5 string, quilted maple top with dark cherry burst, roasted maple neck, morado fingerboard, black hardware. I got to pick the top wood and have been patiently waiting since September.

And it sounds good, too. Now, I just have to figure out how to deal with that extra string!

What a beauty! Love the fiery colours! Congrats on being a proud papa!

I had some growing pains with the 5th string on my LTD, too.

Very nice indeed, Art. Must say, though, that I have my doubts about the "patiently".

Lovely looking bass there, Art! Congrats.

I use the B string frequently as a drop down option for the D note on the 3d string. Occasionally use the B/C &C#, but it also allows me to play using the bottom string to get the warmer mid string tone instead of down near the nut on the upper strings. It's in my note rotation all the time! You'll likely learn to love it
