thank you to all of you at thunder row - you made an "old" man happy while he learned the guitar - your friendships were deeply appreciated by Don and by me and my family. Bless you all - I continue to check in with all - Love, Brenda Burpee

In addition to Brenda's post, she and I shared an email this morning. I just wanted to let her know that we all miss Donnie. Here's her reply. (posted with her permission)

Can't believe as time has flown by - I am hanging in there - today is full of memories and your thoughtfulness touches my heart - he loved all of you in Thunder Row and counted all of you as great friends - I watch his youngest grandson Devin play music and know that Poppa is watching - Devin starts guitar lessons in the next school year - he currently plays the flute in the school band and jazz band and is learning other instruments - Don loved that he could share his passion for music with Devin - and he wanted the boys to use his guitars if any wanted to - and Devin is pursuing music as his passion - my youngest son Keith also is a big music buff so Don's love of music goes on.

    Thank you again. Brenda

Miss that big, ever - optimistic bear of a man.
