A simple message; increase physical activity should be accompanied by an increase in stretching.

This spring and summer, I did more work involving my arms than normal. Hours and hours spent sanding, scraping, painting, carrying heavy loads, and stacking wood.

What I did not so was increase my normal stretching routine.

The result is that rapid alternating movement with my pick or plucking fingers, and the dexterity of my fretting fingers are in the dumpster.

Lesson learned.
